LUFC Christiansen - The Difference Was Our Intensity
Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen was delighted with the intensity of his side as they returned to winning ways with a 3-0 win at Bristol City.
Leeds ended a run of three straight defeats to despatch an inform Bristol City side that were unbeaten in 12 games coming into the game.
Samu Saiz scored twice and Pierre-Michel Lasogga was also on target as Leeds banished the poor performances of the past three games with an emphatic win at Ashton Gate.
'I was very happy with the performance of the team," Christiansen told the BBC.
"It is the same players who put us in the position we were in going into the match and today the difference was the intensity of our play.
'We knew we were up against a good side and that probably helped. We needed to be brave and believe in ourselves. The early goals were important and today we took our chances.'
Saiz fired Leeds ahead after just four minutes and he scored his and Leeds second just ten minutes later.
Lasogga put the icing on the cake for Leeds halfway through the second half with Leeds third goal.
Even a straight red card for Gaetano Berardi late in the game couldn`t dampen the delight for Leeds on a rain soaked, windswept day at Ashton Gate.
