LUFC Saiz Cleared In Spitting Row

Leeds United have released a statement to say Samu Saiz will not be facing any action from the FA after being accused of spitting at a player in the game against Port Vale last week.

Saiz was accused by Port Vale manager Michael Brown after the game had finished last week, with Brown saying he asked Leeds to take the player off at half time after Port Vale defender Joe Davis said he had spat in his face just before the break.

Leeds have confirmed that the FA will not be taking any action by releasing the following statement.

Leeds United have received confirmation from The FA that Samuel Saiz will not face any charges with regards to an alleged spitting offence in our Carabao Cup tie with Port Vale.

The player has been cleared of any wrongdoing and the club's support for the player has been vindicated.

The Spanish midfielder scored a hat-trick in the game to help Leeds reach the Second Round of the Carabao Cup.
