'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Leeds Chairman Thanks Strachan

Leeds United chairman Ken Bates has given his thanks to Celtic boss Gordon Strachan for the part he played in the signing of midfielder Alan Thompson.

Thommo has already got a brace of goals in his time at Leeds, including the winner in Tuesday nights win at Hull. The wee man Strachan apparently played a big part in making sure the move was made.

'A big thanks goes to Gordon Strachan who was very happy to help his old club.' Bates told Yorkshire Radio.

Three cheers for Gordon Strachan, erm hip hip?

Think it's fair to say that everyone at Celtic wants Thommo to do well. Just one of those things the way his career at Parkhead ended and we've all got good memories of his time here - and I'm sure he has. Looks like the move has given his career a kick-start, which is a good thing!
