LUFC O'Kane - Clubs Ambitions Match Mine

Leeds United midfielder Eunan O`Kane says he wants to help the club return to the Premier League after agreeing a new deal with the club.

O`Kane has signed a new four-year deal at Leeds just a year after joining the club from Bournemouth.

The Republic of Ireland international made 26 appearances for Leeds last season, in a season where Leeds finished just one place outside the play-off places and O`Kane says the clubs ambitions match his own in trying to return to the Premier League.

"I am delighted. I have loved every minute since I have been here, it is a really impressive club, we are moving in the right direction and I am happy to be part of it," O`Kane told LUTV.

"There has been a lot of change for the better at the club. The club is starting to move in the right direction on and off the pitch.

"I want to be at a club with ambition and want to achieve things.

"Some clubs become stale and are happy with where they are.

"I think it is obvious that everyone at this football club wants to get better, want to improve and get back into the Premier League and that matches my ambitions."

Leeds welcome Preston North End to Elland Road today, looking to win their first three games of the season having beaten Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End in the first week.
