LUFC Midfielder Happy To Commit Himself To Leeds

Leeds United captain Liam Bridcutt is enjoying himself at the club and he says he would happily commit himself to the club for the rest of his career.

The 27-year-old is enjoying his first full season at Elland Road after a successful spell with Leeds last season.

The midfielder made 27 appearances for Leeds last season after joining the club on loan from Sunderland and he eventually turned that deal into a permanent move this summer, when he signed a two-year deal at Elland Road.

Bridcutt is now a regular in the Leeds side after suffering a foot injury earlier in the season that kept him sidelined for three-months.

The Scottish international is playing a big part at the heart of the Leeds midfield, as they look to clinch promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since 2004, and he admits he would happily remain at Elland Road for the remainder of his career.

"I`m massively happy at Leeds," Bridcutt told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"I`d love to stay at this club as long as I can and I would be happy to finish my career here.

"But that`s down to the powers that be and the president and the owners, really."

Bridcutt will come up against one of his former clubs Brighton and Hove Albion this evening. He made over 150 appearances for the Seagulls during three-and-a-half years on the south coast before a big money move to Sunderland.

He was a regular in the Premier League in his first season at the Stadium of Light before being frozen out of the side last season and he eventually joined Leeds on loan in November. A successful initial spell at Leeds saw his deal extended until the end of the season and Leeds beat of a number of interested clubs to make the move permanent in August.
