Alan Thompson Signs For Leeds

As Gus Poyet predicted previously, former Celtic midfielder Alan Thompson has signed for Leeds until the end of the season.

The contract has been announced as an 'initial' term so hopefully he will like the look of the club and hang around a bit!

The England International middle man (well I say international, he played once!) is sure to bring an added fight in the middle of the park, and he's certainly not shot shy, scoring 37 goals in 158 games for Celtic. Thompson becomes the sixth signing during the January transfer window. We aren't half moving fast; hopefully this isn't the last of it!

Alan did a great job for us. As long as you can keep him from sucking his thumb when things don't go his way, you will have a guy who improved beyond belief whilst in Gods country.

he hasn't played all season and at 33 will he be able to get to the pace of first team football quickly.
