Leeds Set To Sign Thompson

Dennis Wise looks set to boost his squad further with the signing of the former Celtic and Aston Villa midfielder Alan Thompson today.

Assistant manager Gus Poyet has said the deal, to sign Thompson until the end of the season is close and that they are looking forward to seeing Thompson play for the club.

Poyet told the official website:

We've been trying hard to get him and if everything is done it will be magnificent.

'They are the kind of players you want to see at Leeds.'

Another great coup in my opinion, Thompson is indeed the kind of player we need to strengthen the midfield and push on out of this relegation zone nonsense.

I hope he knows how to graft. Hopefully all these players are on ***** wages and massive win bonuses

We had him at the Villa and we wished him all the best when he moved on. He is a great striker of the ball occasionally but he will never be considered a very good player. His passing was average and his positional sense was lacking. That said I believe he will do a great job in the championship. However I think Leeds have bigger concerns. It is rumoured that your game with the Dildo salesmen from Somali Heath may be postboned tomorrow because they can not get their newly relaid pitch ready on time. You should be banging on the door of the league and demand that the points be given to you and that the dildo salesmen be docked three points. Jaidi is suspended and all their forwards are injured (Forssell, Cambell, Bednter, Jerome), I can pretty much guarantee all these players will be available if a new date has to arranged. Not to mention all the work the club and fans have put in to arrange travel and the like. It is a disgrace if they mange to get away with it with a paltry fine.
