Leeds Ladies Win

Dennis Wise must be wondering if the FA will relax rules on mixed games after the Leeds United LFC overcame Sunderland in their 4th round FA Cup Tie.

After going 1-0 down to the Mackems, 3 goals in 9 minutes secured passage into the next round. Jess Wright, Rachel McArthur and Lucy Ward were the goalscorers.

An interesting point that I learnt whilst researching this, Leeds LFC are currently funded through private sponsorship. Due to 'financial troubles' Ken Bates cut the funding to the ladies side of things.

The final of the Women's FA Cup will be held at the City Ground, home of Nottingham Forest on the 7th of May
