Leeds Fine With Loan Mistake Penalty

Football League rules state that no side can name more than 5 players that are at the club on loan for a football match.

Leeds United named 6 in the squad for the game against Burnley on the 28th November...whoops.

Yesterday the club were punished with a whopping 2000 fine. I know there`s been debt in recent years around the club but crikey that`s low! What makes the story even funnier, 1000 is suspended!

Goalkeeper Graham Stack, Heath, Ehiogu Kandol and the Horse all played. Tony Warner then tipped us over the edge.

Makes you wonder just how the authorities consider 1000 payment a punishment in modern football. Still we can't really complain can we! Red-Rom for example could probably afford the fine in his earnings before he'd even finished his pre-match pie (assuming Abramovich eats pies?)

Got away very lightly with that one!

You are so Lucky. Today Bury were kicked out of FA cup for playing 1 ineligable player, you played 6 loan players and got away with 1000 fine and 1000 suspended. I thought you might get points deducted

When ever Bates is involved the result always seems unfair - can't stand the bloke myself - I don't know what his hold over the FA is, but we have suffered too with him in his Chelsea days.
