'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Leeds Midfielder Departs

Leeds United's experienced midfielder and former England International (look it up, he played...9 times!) Steve Stone has left the club, and announced his retirement after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

The former Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Portsmouth midfielder had joined Leeds in 2005 but had somewhat of a terrible start, injuring his Achilles Tendon in his very first training session with the club.

'It's an amicable settlement' he said and went on to describe how the pain would sometimes mean he wouldn't even get out of bed some days.

'It wasn't right for the club, and he wasn't right for me but now it's been sorted out it's a relief' he told the official website.

All the best Steve from Vital Leeds, enjoy your 'retirement.' Never going to be one for the future was he?

Good luck to the guy for his future plans.
Tierney
a shame was a very good player but he's struggled for a few years now. Good luck in your retirement.

He would be excellent in a lower league team.
