Draw Specialists Visit

Draw specialists Southampton visit Elland Road tonight with Blackwell hoping to field an unchanged side.

Southampton have already clocked up a record of eight consecutive draws and a draw tonight would see them set a new league record. However Kevin Blackwell aims to end their run of single pointers but knows it won't be easy.

'They've only lost one game since they came into this division so it shows you how tough they are,' said Blackwell.

'Their record clearly says they don't lose too many games, although they don't win too many either, so we know it's going to be tough if we want to put back to back wins together.

'This is a big week for us, we've had Burnley away, now Southampton and then there's Sheffield United at home before Blackburn away and we always knew this glut of games would be a real test of our character.

'We've come through the first test at Burnley and if we beat Southampton then we are half-way there to having an excellent week.'

Blackwell does have concerns over the fitness of David Healy and Rob Hulse, both of whom still have ankle injuries. The pair will be treated right up to kick off to get them fit to start if needed.

Shaun Derry is a minor doubt after having five stitches following an incident in the tunnel after the last match.
