LUFC Leeds looking to offload players

Leeds United first team coach says he is looking to move players on as the club continue to bring in new signings.

Leeds made their eleventh signing of the summer on Thursday with the arrival of striker Mirco Antenucci from Italian side Ternana.

Leeds currently have a squad of 31 players with squad numbers and Hockaday knows he must trim the squad whilst still bringing in more players before the transfer window closes.

Speaking at his press conference ahead of the game at Watford this weekend, Hockaday said, "We are working on trimming the squad. It is becoming obvious that we need to help people.

"We`ve got some good players here and if they aren`t going to be playing as often as they want, we appreciate that they might want to go elsewhere.

"There`s some good pro`s here and we are in the process of moving one or two on.

"You are looking for 20 to 22 senior players, with a number of talented youngsters also in the mix to help the main squad."

The transfer window closes on Monday September 1st at 11pm.
