2007
Having been deducted 15 points before a ball is kicked in Leeds first season in League One, the players show the fighting spirit that will see them make a determined start at Tranmere.

Tranmere had led through a Chris Greenacre goal before Matt Heath equalised for Leeds.

Leeds start the season with a 4-0 win over Shrewsbury Town in the League Cup at Elland Road.

2013
Leeds United battled to a 0-0 draw at Leicester City in a dour game at the King Power Stadium.

The first half was almost a non-event. Leeds started brightly with Rodolph Austin having shot blocked and Jason Pearce heading over.

Leicester`s best chance was a Danny Drinkwater shot that was deflected wide but neither keeper had a shot to save and the half was summed up with the final kick of the half when Ross McCormack found row z with his shot.

The second half continued in much the same vain. Andy King headed over for the hosts and Drinkwater shot over the bar.

The game came to life with the introduction of the substitutes. Knockaert was battling in midfield for Leicester and Dominic Poleon added pace to the Leeds attack.

James Vardy forced Paddy Kenny into the first save of the game on 73 minutes and minutes later, he beat Kenny to the ball but he couldn`t keep it on target.

Chris Wood replaced Vardy and he came closest of all to scoring when his left foot shot cannoned back of a post.

Leeds substitute Matt Smith almost won the game in injury time but Kasper Schmeichel tipped his header around the post.
