LUFC Leeds will not be signing bad boy Ranger

Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino says striker Nile Ranger will not be joining Leeds despite reports this week that he was to have a trial at the club.

Ranger is without a club following his release by Swindon Town as disciplinary problems continue to plague his career and Cellino says he doesn`t have time for who he described as a 'bad boy`.

Speaking to Simon Austin , Cellino said, 'The players are like a family and I can't afford to spend too much time on one of them who has problems.'

The 23-year-old was sent to a young offenders institute when he was just 15 after being involved in a robbery in London.

He was given a chance by Newcastle United but off field problems continued to mount and the young striker has been arrested on a number of occasions for drunken and disorderly behaviour, criminal damage as well as assault. Ranger has been charged twice this year for criminal damage following an incident in Liverpool with a taxi and at the home of his apartment.
