Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he expects Michael Brown to sign a new deal with the club.
The midfielder was out of contract at the end of last season and Warnock explained at the beginning of the summer that he had offered Brown a new deal on a vastly reduced wage.
The 35 year old returned for the start of pre-season training last week and Warnock expects Brown to sign a new deal, starting at the beginning of August.
Speaking on the official website, Warnock said, 'We have offered Michael another year and I think we`ll start from next month.'
Leeds trip to Sheffield Wednesday has been put back 24-hours.
The game originally scheduled for Saturday January 11th will now take place on Sunday January 12th, with a 3pm kick off.
The game has been moved at the request of South Yorkshire Police.
