A look back at what happened on this day July 7th in the recent history of Leeds United.
Leeds have never played a game on this day in their history, so today we look back in the Vital Leeds archives of the last few years to see what was being reported.

Administrators believe that if the clubs issues aren't sorted, Leeds United will not start the League One season
During today`s preliminary High Court hearing in Leeds, club administrators KPMG have warned that if the club is not able to leave administration, the Football League may stop them from beginning the fight back to The Championship.
The High Court action has come after HM Revenue & Customs decided to challenge the offer made by a consortium fronted by former chairman Ken Bates, despite an increase in his offer to creditors to 8p in the £1 from just 1p in the £1. The result of the court hearing today was to adjourn until the 3rd of September, by which time Leeds will have been scheduled to play 4 games, including matches against Promotion contenders Nottingham Forest and Luton.
The total Leeds United debt is around the £35million mark with HM Revenue & Customs being one of the largest creditors at a staggering £7.7million, slightly more than 1 Seth Johnson.
Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is delighted to have defender Paul Huntington back in pre season training and is hoping the player can enjoy a good month, ahead of the new season.
Huntington who missed a large proportion of last season after suffering an injury early on in the season managed only six games in the whole of the 2008/09 season.
Speaking on the official website boss Grayson said 'Hopefully he can go through a full pre season, playing games, and forcing his way into the first team'.
With fellow defender Richard Naylor set to miss the start of the season, Huntington will hopefully be pushing for a starting place when Exeter City visit Elland Road on the opening day of the season.
Leeds United midfielder Robert Snodgrass has set his sights on Automatic promotion this season.
Snodgrass joined Leeds from Livingston in the summer of 2008 and after struggling to hold down a regular starting place early in the season became an integral part of the Leeds squad.
Speaking on the official website Snodgrass said 'You know what`s at stake - automatic promotion. We don`t want the heartache of the play offs, that`s the standard we are setting'.
Leeds United have signed Neil Collins for an undisclosed fee from Preston North End.
The central defender who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Elland Road for the final two months of last season has signed a three-year contract.
He becomes Leeds fifth signing of the season as Simon Grayson strengthens his squad ahead of the new Championship season.
Speaking about Collins on the official website, Grayson said, 'Neil has plenty of experience at Championship level and he is another important addition to our squad.'
The 26-year-old made nine appearances in the run in last season after injury ruled out regular centre back Patrick Kisnorbo for the remainder of the season.
Collins put in a number of excellent displays at the back helping Leeds to win five of their last nine games to clinch automatic promotion.
Leeds United continue to be popular with live TV with the Cardiff City home game now being chosen for live coverage by Sky.
The game at Elland Road, originally scheduled for Saturday October 29th, will now take place on Sunday October 30th with a 1.15pm kick off.
Leeds United have revealed the clubs main new sponsors as well as the new home kit for the 2011/12 season.
Leeds have agreed a deal with Enterprise insurance, initially for one year.
The company formed in 2004 are a quickly growing insurance company both in Britain and across Europe.
The new shirt will have the company logo on the front.
According to reports, Leeds proposed signing of goalkeeper Andy Lonergan as hit a snag.
A deal between the two clubs was agreed on Monday and the player underwent a medical on Tuesday.
The obstacle seems to be the wages the player is demanding, with Leeds not seemingly prepared to match his demands.
The 27 year old started his career at Preston and he has played over 200 times for them since breaking into the side during the 2000/01 season.
Portsmouth boss Michael Appleton says the clubs striker Luke Varney is in talks with Leeds United about a move to Elland Road.
Fellow Portsmouth midfielder David Norris is also reportedly in talks with a clubs, with Leeds also reportedly keen on a move for him.
Speaking in the Portsmouth News, Appleton said, 'I know Luke and David are close to agreeing moves elsewhere.
'If that is the case, they may not be here when the players come back on Monday. To be honest, that is not something I would mind, either.
'I believe Luke has been talking with Leeds. Whether that will happen this weekend or next week we`ll have to see.'
Varney expressed his own desire to sign for Leeds earlier this week according to the same paper, with Nottingham Forest also keen on the former Charlton Athletic and Derby County player.
Norris is believed to have already held talks with Yorkshire neighbours Sheffield Wednesday about a move to Hillsborough.
Leeds have already signed Jason Pearce from Portsmouth this summer but missed out on Joel Ward after failing to come up with the money for the versatile defender.
Financially stricken Portsmouth are still trying to move on their biggest earners. The Football League has refused to lift the transfer embargo on the club, who are still in administration, until they move on some of the existing squad.
