Winger joins Town day he should have joined Leeds

Winger Cameron Stewart has signed for Ipswich Town on the day he should have signed a permanent deal with Leeds United.

Stewart was due to complete a three-year deal at Elland Road on July 1st having spent the second half of the season on loan from Hull City with a permanent deal agreed.

New owner Massimo Cellino instructed the clubs officials to see if they could pull out of the deal last month after he made little impact during his 93-day loan with Leeds making just eleven appearances.

The 23-year-old declared himself a free agent and he has signed for Ipswich on a three-year deal.
