Reading will not welcome Leeds approach for Dolan
Reading have issued a firm hands off warning to Leeds United after they were linked with their youth academy coach Eamonn Dolan.
Dolan has been backed in to odds on favourite for the vacant coaches job at Leeds, as owner Massimo Cellino looks for a successor to Brian McDermott.
The director of football at Reading Nicky Hammond says they would not welcome an approach for Dolan, who has spent ten-years at the Madejski Stadium.
Speaking to Get Reading , Hammond said, 'Reading FC are aware of the interest of another Championship club in our Academy Manager Eamonn Dolan. Eamonn is an integral part of our club and is under contract to Reading Football Club.
'Eamonn has done an incredible job since taking over from Brendan Rodgers and we hope he will be a big part of our club for many years to come.
'He has a fantastic relationship with our manager Nigel Adkins and we do not welcome any approaches from any club for our key staff.
'We hope this is the end of the matter.'
Cellino was due to meet with three British coaches last weekend, with Gary McAllister and David Hockaday believed to two of three to be on the shortlist. Dolan was also rumoured to be the third after his odds tumbled for the job but with Hammond issuing a clear hands-off, it doesn`t look like Leeds have spoken to Dolan.
