LUFC Taylor would consider return to Fleetwood

Young Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor says he would consider a return to Fleetwood Town on loan next season.

The 20-year-old helped Fleetwood continue their meteoric rise through the leagues on Monday as they enjoyed their sixth promotion in nine years with a 1-0 play-off final win over Burton Albion at Wembley.

Taylor will return to Leeds for pre-season training this summer having recently been rewarded with a new three-year deal by the club due to his impressive form whilst on loan at Fleetwood. The young fullback says he would consider a return if the opportunity arose if he was to be offered the chance to go out on loan again next season.

'We'll see what happens next season but it would be a club I'd definitely want to play for," Taylor said.

'I've loved my time here, every minute of it. It's a great set of lads and to end in success is a great feeling. I'd definitely consider it if I was to go out on loan again next year.'

Taylor made 42-appearances for Fleetwood after arriving at the club in August due to a lack of first team opportunities at Leeds with Stephen Warnock, Aidan White and Danny Pugh all ahead of him in the pecking order at Elland Road. Having made just four Leeds appearances since making his senior debut as a 17-year-old in August 2011, he will now hope he can push for a place in the starting line-up.
