*On this day in 1985, young 15-year-old Leeds United fan Ian Hambridge died at St Andrews Birmingham when a wall collapsed on him. The game at Birmingham was marred by running fights between fans of both sides and Police.

The day was overshadowed by the sad events that happened at our near neighbours Bradford City when their main stand burnt down killing 56 fans from Bradford and their opponents Lincoln City. Thoughts go out to all on the anniversary.

**On this day in 1999, Leeds beat Arsenal 1-0 at Elland Road to deny the gunners any chance of lifting the Premier League title.

Despite a first half penalty miss from Ian Harte, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink scored with a late headed goal as the win for Leeds meant those from across the Pennines lifted the Premier League title.
