LUFC Green wants to stay with Ipswich

Leeds United midfielder Paul Green says he would like to remain at Ipswich Town after completing his loan deal with the Suffolk club at the weekend.

Green is out of contract this summer after two-years at Elland Road. The midfielder has spent the final three months of the season on loan at Ipswich and with him expected to be released by Leeds this summer, the Republic of Ireland international says he would like to remain at Portman Road.

Speaking on the Ipswich Town official website , Green said, "I`m not sure where I`ll be playing football next year but I`d like to stay, as I`ve mentioned before. I`ve enjoyed playing regular football again and I`ve fitted in well with the lads and the staff."

Green made 36-appearances in his first season at Elland Road but after starting the season as a regular for Brian McDermott, he hasn`t featured for Leeds since the defeat at Derby County on October 5th.

The 31-year-old made 14-appearances during his time at Ipswich and he scored in two of their last three games including the winner against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
