LUFC Leeds United - Season Loan Watch

Vital Leeds looks at how the Leeds players have done whilst they have been out on loan this season.

Leeds have had fourteen players out on loan during this season.

Steve Morison (Millwall), Ross Killock, Nathan and Lewis Turner (Chester) and Charlie Taylor (Fleetwood) have been out on loan for most of the season.

Paul Green (Ipswich Town), Luke Varney (Blackburn Rovers), Gboly Ariyibi (Tranmere Rovers) Adam Drury (Bradford City) and Lee Peltier (Nottingham Forest) finished the season away from the club.

Ryan Hall and Aidan White both spent time at League One side Sheffield United before the New Year.

Youngster Simon Lenighan had two separate loan spells away from the club at Bradford Park Avenue and FC Halifax.

Fellow youngster Luke Parkin spent a frustrating month out on loan with Guiseley either side of Christmas with most of their games postponed during his time with them.

Steve Morison - Millwall (Season)
Morison played the 90 minutes for Millwall as they beat Bournemouth 1-0 at the New Den to confirm their stay in the championship.

The striker, who has spent the season on loan with Millwall, came close to opening the scoring in the first half when his header hit the crossbar.

Morison made 42 appearances for Millwall, 26 starts and 16 substitute appearances, this season scoring 8 goals

He will now return to Leeds with two-years remaining on his current deal at Elland Road.

Paul Green - Ipswich Town February - Season End
Green scored his second goal in three games for Ipswich as they finished the season with a 2-1 home win over Sheffield Wednesday.

The midfielder made 14 appearances during his time at Portman Road with 6 starts and 8 substitute appearances.

Green is out of contract at Leeds this summer.

Luke Varney - Blackburn Rovers (February - Season End)
Varney was again an unused substitute for Blackburn as they finished the season with a 4-3 home win over Wigan Athletic to miss out narrowly on a play-off place.

Varney made 12 appearances during his time at Ewood Park, 6 starts and 8 substitute appearances, failing to score.

Varney is out of contract at Elland Road this summer.

Charlie Taylor - Fleetwood Town (Season)
Taylor returned to the starting line-up for Fleetwood as they finished the season with a 2-1 defeat at Chesterfield who clinched the League Two title with the win.

Taylor had missed the previous four games with an ankle injury and his return is a boost for Fleetwood who now face York City in the play-offs.

The young defender made 40 appearances during the regular season for Fleetwood and he has become a firm favourite with the Fleetwood fans.

Taylor is out of contract at Elland Road this summer.

Lewis Turner - Chester (Season)
The season for Chester finished last weekend with them suffering the heartache of relegation from the Skrill Conference Premier Division in the final few minutes of their last game.

Lewis made 44 appearances in all competitions at Chester and he earned rave reviews during his time there.

His form saw him win three player of the year awards at Chester including the players player of the year.

The 21-year-old is out of contract this summer.

Nathan Turner - Chester (Season)
Nathan made 26 appearances for Chester during his season long loan spell.

The 21-year-old is out of contract this summer.

Appearances 26 goals 0


Ross Killock - Chester FC (Season)
Ross finished the season on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, missing the final six weeks of the season.

The central defender made 18 appearances during his time with Chester.

He is out of contract at Elland Road this summer.

Appearances 18 goals 2


Adam Drury - Bradford City (March - Season End)
Drury started for Bradford and he played 59 minutes as they won 2-1 at Tranmere Rovers to send them down to League Two.

The veteran fullback made 12 appearances during his two months with Bradford with eleven of those from the start.

Drury is out of contract at Leeds this summer.

Gboly Ariyibi - Tranmere Rovers (March - Season End)
Ariyibi was again left out of the Tranmere squad as they lost their League One status with a 2-1 home defeat to Bradford.

He made just two substitute appearances during his time at Prenton Park.

Ariyibi signed a short-term deal with Leeds in the winter and he is out of contract this summer.

Lee Peltier - Nottingham Forest (March - Season End)
Peltier played the 90 minutes for Forest as they finished the season with a 2-1 home defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Peltier spent his time on loan at the City Ground playing in midfield.

He made 7 appearances during his time with Forest, starting every game.

Peltier returns to Elland Road with one-year remaining on his contract.

Simon Lenighan
Lenighan had two spells away from Leeds.

He made five appearances for Bradford Park Avenue in the Skrill Conference North Division.

Bradford Park Avenue (October - November)
Appearances 5 goals 0

In February, he joined promotion chasing Skrill Conference Premier Division side FC Halifax on a one-month loan deal. He started the first game at Chester following his arrival but that was to be his only appearance.

FC Halifax (February - March)
Appearances 1 Goals 0


Luke Parkin - Guiseley AFC (One Month from December 19th)
He joined Guiseley in December with the possibility of playing seven games but he played just twice in three games played with the other four games postponed.

Appearances 2 goals 0

Ryan Hall - Sheffield United (September - October)
Hall spent one-month on loan at Sheffield United where he made 5 appearances.

He returned to Elland Road, he was promptly suspended by the club for comments he made on his twitter account, and the club eventually released him in November.

Following a short spell in non-league football, he returned to the league in February joining League One MK Dons.


Aidan White - Sheffield United (October - December)
White made 8 appearances for Sheffield United during a two-month stay at Bramall Lane before he suffered an ankle injury over the festive period that brought a premature end to his stay with the blades.

White returned to action in March and he made 8 appearances for Leeds in the final five weeks of the season.
