LUFC Cellino wins appeal to take control of Leeds

Massimo Cellino has won his appeal against the Football League and he can now take control of Leeds United.

An independent QC approved Cellino after he had appealed against the Football League`s decision to refuse him permission to take control of Leeds under their 'Owners and Directors Test`.

Cellino`s family run company Eleonora Sports will now take control of the club having exchanged contracts with GFH Capital on a 75 per cent stake back in early February.

The Italian will now take up a role as president of the club with current managing director David Haigh becoming the chief executive.
