LUFC Leeds v Doncaster - History

Vital Leeds looks at the head-to-head record between Leeds United and Doncaster Rovers at Elland Road through the years.

The two sides have only ever met on ten occasions with Leeds winning six, one win for Doncaster and there have been three draws.

The first time the two sides met was during the 1947/48 season when the sides drew 0-0.

Leeds first victory came on the opening day of the 1950/51 season when they ran out 3-1 winners thanks to two goals from Frank Dudley and one from Len Browning.

Doncaster enjoyed their only victory when the sides met in 2008, when Brian Stock earned them all three points in a 1-0 win.

They have met twice in the championship in recent years with twelve goals being scored.

When the sides met in 201/11, Leeds ran out 5-2 winners with Max Gradel and Jonny Howson scoring twice and Luciano Becchio netting once.

The following season, Leeds made an amazing comeback from two goals down with just 35 minutes remaining.

Mamadou Bagayoko had fired Doncaster into a two-goal lead. Andros Townsend reduced the arrears for Leeds within a minute of Doncaster taking a two-goal lead. Adam Clayton equalised with ten minutes remaining before Luciano Becchio scored a Leeds winner deep into injury time.
