LUFC McCormack - I love being at Leeds

Leeds United striker Ross McCormack says he feels he showed how committed he is to the club after a turbulent final few hours on the final day of the January transfer window.

The Leeds striker was the target of a number of clubs in the final hours of the transfer window. Both West Ham and Cardiff City had bids turned down by Leeds and McCormack says he is happy at Elland Road.

Speaking to Sky Sports , McCormack said, 'To be honest, (a move away) wasn't that close at all. Cardiff made a bid for me and the club turned it down,' he said.

'There were a few more bids made for me, but the club said I wasn't for sale at any price. You have got to respect the decision, get your head down and get on with it.'

'I think I showed where my commitment lies on deadline day when I found out the manager got sacked.

'I could have handed in a transfer request and forced through a move to Cardiff but I didn't do that, because I'm happy to be at Leeds United.

'I love being at the club but that's the industry we're in. Managers change but the football club stays.'

McCormack signed a new contract at Leeds in the summer after the club turned down three separate bids from Middlesbrough and he is now contracted to Leeds until 2017.

The 27-year-old netted his second hat-trick of the season for Leeds on Saturday taking his tally to 22 for the season.
