*On this day in 1984, Denis Irwin made his Leeds debut as they crashed out of the FA Cup to Fourth Division Scunthorpe United.

Scunthorpe beat Leeds 4-2 in a second replay at the Old Show Ground with Tommy Wright and Andy Ritchie on target for Leeds.
