Well here we go again, another transfer window and the many rumours that surround players coming in and out of Leeds United.
Vital Leeds will once again be keeping you up to date with all those players linked with a move to and from Elland Road.
I will only use rumours from national newspapers and internet sites such as Sky Sports, Teamtalk and Clubcall and not from someone who knows someone, who saw someone in a petrol station just off the M1.
With the investment into the club, the rumours started early and I have been keeping track of those players linked with Leeds since December.
The first player we were linked with in December was Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah who has been on loan at Nottingham Forest until this month.
He has struggled since arriving at the City Ground and he has made just 12 appearances including coming off the bench against Leeds last week.
Chalobah is best remembered for his season long loan at Watford last season and he scored one of the goals of the season in the Football League with his 35-yard screamer against Leicester City.
He made 42 appearances for Watford scoring 5 goals and he appeared for the England under-21 side in last summer`s European Championship finals.
Former Leeds favourite Max Gradel has been continuously linked with a return to Leeds for the last two or three weeks. Gradel has only just returned to the first team at St Etienne and he wants regular football as he looks to push for a place in the Ivory Coast squad, for this summer`s World Cup finals in Brazil.
Charlton midfielder Johnnie Jackson is reportedly on the radar of Brian McDermott. Jackson scored for Charlton in Leeds 4-2 at the Valley in November and he can play in a number of positions.
Sticking with the game at Charlton in November, midfielder Cameron Stewart is said to be very close to agreeing a deal with Leeds. Stewart scored a 20-yard volley for Charlton during the game in November during his loan spell with Hull City.
Stewart has now returned to Hull having made 18 appearances during his stay at the Valley and he was left out of the Hull squad on Saturday so that he would not be cup-tied, not that it matters anymore.
Possibly the strangest one so far is the rumour that Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was closing in on a loan move to Leeds from New York Red Bulls. A number of sites carried this story, with most people probably putting two and two together with the rumours that the investment into the club involved Red Bull.
Huddersfield Town midfielder Oliver Norwood has been linked with Leeds in the past week. The Northern Ireland international has been a regular in the Huddersfield side this season and he scored in their win at Grimsby Town in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Chesterfield midfielder Jimmy Ryan has been linked with a move to Elland Road over this weekend. BBC Radio Sheffield reporter Alan Biggs said only yesterday that there was some truth in the rumours.
A few that were linked with us in the summer have resurfaced once again.
Striker Nahki Wells at Bradford City is being linked with Leeds along with a number of other championship clubs after enjoying a good start to the season in League One.
He has now scored 53 goals in 112 appearances since arriving with our West Yorkshire neighbours in the summer of 2011.
Brian McDermott`s former Reading striker Adam Le Fondre has said this week that he wants a move away from Reading in the hope of regular first team football. He has scored nine goals for Reading this season despite making the majority of his appearances from the bench.
So there we have it, almost a week into the transfer window, we have been linked with a host of players, and probably not surprisingly, nobody wants any of our deadwood so nobody has been linked with a move away.
If you hear of any rumours than feel free to share them with us and where you have seen the player linked either in the comment box on here or by visiting the Vital Leeds forum.
