Birthdays
*1965 Vinnie Jones (49)
1993 Zac Thompson (21)

*Former Leeds United cult hero Vinnie Jones celebrates his 49th birthday today. Jones quickly becoming a firm fans favourite after arriving at Elland Road from Wimbledon in the summer of 1989.

The midfielder was instrumental in the Leeds midfield as the side won the Second Division title on the final day of the season.

Jones spent just over twelve months with Leeds but he showed during his time at the club that he could play football.

His best goal for Leeds was probably the screamer he scored in the home game against Hull City in what was a rollercoaster of a game with Leeds winning it late on 4-3.

You can see his goal against Hull in this clip.
