LUFC McDermott ready for Middlesbrough

With the international break probably coming at the wrong time this time around, Leeds United boss Brian McDermott is already looking forward to the game with Middlesbrough at Elland Road next Saturday.

Leeds made it back-to-back victories for the first time this season when they won 4-2 at Charlton Athletic before the international break and McDermott is now preparing his side for the home clash with Middlesbrough next Saturday.

The whites have won their last three games at Elland Road and with a big crowd expected for the visit of Middlesbrough, who will have their new manager Aitor Karanka in charge for the first time, McDermott is looking to build on their recent form.

Speaking on LUTV, McDermott said, "We are playing at Elland Road, our home form is really good and we are hopeful of getting a really big crowd with the right result and the right performance."

Leeds recent revival has seen them climb to eighth in the championship table and they are now just one point off a play-off place.

A win for Leeds against Middlesbrough would be the first time that they have won three games in a row in almost twelve months, when the 4-2 win at Huddersfield Town on December 1st made it three wins in a row in the space of seven days after recording home wins over Crystal Palace and Leicester City.

Leeds are expecting a crowd in the region of 30,000 for the visit of Middlesbrough.
