LUFC McDermott - McCormack is a top player

Leeds United boss Brian McDermott was full of praise for Ross McCormack after he netted four times for Leeds in the 4-2 win at Charlton Athletic.

McCormack took his tally to six in two games this month as he continued his great form in front of goal and McDermott was full of praise for his all-round performance.

Speaking on LUTV, McDermott said, "He has got four unbelievable goals today.

"Many people may not have noticed but he did a fantastic job down the left, he did a great job on their right back and he has done a fantastic job for the team.

"He scores an unbelievable volley and his last goal was top draw.

"He is a top player and you get him in an area to finish and he will."

McCormack twice gave Leeds the lead only for them to be pegged back by Charlton but nothing was going to stop the striker. He gave Leeds the lead for a third time when he smashed home a volley and he ended the perfect afternoon with a superb free-kick in injury time to become the first Leeds player to score four goals away from Elland Road since 1926.
