LUFC Leeds Fans View v Yeovil Town

LUFC Leeds Fans View v Yeovil Town

Tiny T gives us his usual fans view from the games at Elland Road.

This time he gives us his views following the 2-0 win over Yeovil Town.

Kenny 6
A couple of decent saves but he had little to do for long periods.

Lees 5
A wobbly start but he improved as the game went on.

Wootton 6
Slow start like the rest of the defence, as the game went on, he grew in confidence with some tidy work

Pearce 7
Pick of the Leeds defenders with a number of last-ditch tackles and he spent a long period playing left midfield.

Peltier 3
Asked to fill the right wing back and he was out of his dept. He never got forward enough and his crossing was woeful.

Murphy 5
Worked hard but no finesse to his play.

Austin 7 Star man
Worked tirelessly and it was his invention which turned the game

Mowatt 5
Like his midfield partners, he worked hard

Warnock 5
Injury forced him off. had been reasonable until then

Smith 4
Nothing to feed off with the ball hit long most of the time.

McCormack 6
Two goals but an in and out performance.

Subs
Zaliukas 5

Came on for Warnock and looked solid enough. McDermott at pains after the game, he doesn't like his defenders doing nutmegs on the edge of our box and says he won`t do it again.

Blackstock 5
Got into the game well and could be a starter when match fit.

Summary
First half passed everyone by as it was scrappy.
Second half saw an improvement with Austin bursting on to the seen to drive forward and feed McCormack for the first and second goals.

Defensively we got better as the game went on. In this department, we need to improve. Peltier at wing back did not work for me; never far enough forward and he cannot cross it when he is. Shows how short of quality we are when we had five central defenders on the pitch.

Looking forward Charlton next and we are up to 8th.
