LUFC Derby County Season Preview 2013/14

LUFC Derby County Season Preview 2013/14

Vital Leeds have been in contact with fans of the 23 other clubs in the championship and I have got their predictions on the 2013/14 season.

Today I get the thoughts of Vital Derby County ..

Where do you think you will finish this season?
If we can get a replacement in for John Brayford and another central defender, we could be edging the play-offs this season although if you`re in the Championship then you have to say that don`t you.

Your player to watch?
Will Hughes is the one everyone is talking about, it will be interesting to see if he gets second season syndrome this time around. Johnny Russell promises to be the goalscorer we lacked last season, he has looked promising in pre-season so fingers crossed he can reproduce when the teal thing starts.

Who are you tipping for t automatic promotion?
Very hard to say, there are a few clubs who could run away with it or finish in the bottom half, it all depends on consistency. Wigan and QPR both have squads that should finish up there and I think Watford could make a push again if they find a goalscorer to replace Vydra.

Who will finish in the play-off places?
I hate to say it but I think Leicester and Forest will be up there challenging although just short of automatic promotion and Brighton could be in there if their new manager picks up where Poyet left off. Bolton will also be strong this season.

Which three teams do you think will be relegated?
Yeovil must be favourites to go down although with the momentum from promotion, if they get a decent start you never know. Other than that I think Huddersfield will struggle again and possibly Barnsley with Doncaster also down there.

Where do you think Leeds will finish?
Around the play-offs, Brain McDermott will get you organised and hard to beat if not thrilling to watch if Reading were anything to go by but I can see you sneaking in there if you hit form at the right time.

If you could have one Leeds player, who would it be?
Ross McCormack, I`ve always been a fan of his since his time at Cardiff and with his ability to pull a goal out of nowhere he means you`re never really out of a game.
