A look back at what happened on July 13th in recent history at Leeds United.
1984 Billy Paynter (29)
Leeds administration saga took another turn as The Football League declined a request from the new owners of Leeds United for their football league share to be transferred, effectively allowing them to start again as a normal league club.
It appears that at the meeting arranged, the clubs administrators, KPMG failed to turn up with no reason given for their absence. This meant that a number of key pieces of documentation were not available and hence no decision was made. Similarly the League have expressed some concern over the administration proceedings as a statement read: 'Additionally, the Board expressed concern at the handling of the whole process by the administrators and the Chairman was instructed to obtain legal advice in that regard.
A statement on leedsunited.com attempted to explain the situation. As it stands, Leeds United 2007 Limited own the entire club with the exception of the 'football shares' which would allow it entry into League One, and that the documentation required by the Football League has now been passed on.
Striker David Healy departs Leeds and signs for Premier League side Fulham.
Fellow striker Robbie Blake also departs Elland Road. Blake signs for Burnley for a second time during his career.
Leeds boss Simon Grayson signs a new three-year deal with the club after leading the side back to the championship in his first full season in charge.
Leeds sign experienced midfielder Michael Brown on a free transfer after he was released by Portsmouth at the end of last season.
After being released by Leeds at the end of last season, Richard Naylor signs for Yorkshire neighbours Doncaster Rovers on a short-term deal.
Defender Patrick Kisnorbo signs a new two-year deal with the club.
Leeds start their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 win at Falkirk. An own goal from Falkirk defender Thomas Scobbie and a Robert Snodgrass start Leeds two game tour of Scotland on a winning note.
Former Leeds United captain Richard Naylor is back at the club, working with the under 18`s.
The 35 year old is working with the youngsters at Thorp Arch after calling time on his playing career.
Leeds United boss Neil Warnock admits he contemplated leaving Leeds this summer after being frustrated in the early weeks of the summer.
Warnock was hoping to build his squad for the 2012/13 season sooner rather than later and after making just one signing, Jason Pearce from Portsmouth in May. Warnock then lost out on Portsmouth teammate Joel Ward.
Ward joined Palace after it was reported that Leeds could not afford the cash payment up front for the player, much to the frustration of Warnock.
Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Warnock said, 'I was disappointed to lose Ward to Palace earlier on in the summer; in fact at that stage I`m not sure I was going to be here
'There were temptations and I think it might have been easier to take an offer elsewhere than stay here.
'My son James lives here and he`s the one that over this summer - when it would have been easier to leave - who has pleaded with me to give it a go.
'Because he knows how desperate I am to get another promotion.'
Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he is looking at SK Brann midfielder Rodolph Austin.
The 27-year-old is out of contract with the Norwegian Premier League side in December and Warnock is keen on the player who he had on trial at Queens Park Rangers during his time there.
Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Warnock said, 'He`s a player I had at QPR. I had him over for a week and he`s a smashing lad.
'I`ve always liked him, but it`s always been a bit too much money. The last time I spoke to them, it was around the £2m mark.
'But his contract runs out in December and he`s one that we are looking at as well as several others.'
Leeds United boss Neil Warnock has made a further addition to his backroom staff with former player Chris Short joining the club.
Short has been brought into the club as first team fitness co-ordinator.
The 42-year-old former defender started his professional career back in 1988 with Warnock at Scarborough. He joined up with him again at Notts County in 1990 and he also had a short loan spell at Huddersfield Town in 1994 with Warnock at the helm.
