A look back at what happened on this day July 3rd in the history of Leeds United.
Leeds have never played a game on this day in their history, so today we look back in the Vital Leeds archives of the last few years to see what was being reported.
Ken Bates sees his offer to the HM Customs and revenue challenged after offering 8p in the £1 to creditors. It means the CVA is not yet in place and holding up Bates in the process of taking over the club once more.
Leeds announces the signing of Alan Sheehan from Leicester City on a three-year deal.
The defender spent the end of the previous season on loan at Elland Road and he decides against signing a new deal with Leicester to join Leeds.
It is a busy day at Elland Road with Leon Constantine joining Northampton Town on a free transfer.
Seb Carole is also set to leave Leeds. Carole joins Le Havre on trial with a view to a permanent move.
Goalkeeper Shane Higgs joins Leeds from Cheltenham Town on a two-year deal.
Leeds boss Simon Grayson says he will not be signing striker Warren Feeney despite meeting with the player about a possible move to Elland Road.
Enoch Showunmi returns to training for the first time since Christmas, when suffering a blood clot on his lung.
Leeds are being linked with a host of goalkeepers following the sale of Kasper Schmeichel to Leicester City. The latest is former Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek who is now at Real Madrid.
Leeds United have announced their will be no further action taken against the club or it`s players following investigations by the CPS into the game with Doncaster Rovers at Elland Road in February.
The club announced in a brief statement on their official website that no further action would be taken.
West Yorkshire Police had been investigated incidents following the final whistle of the game played in February, when Police and stewards were called to quell a disturbance in the tunnel following the final whistle, in a game Leeds secured a 3-2 win with a winner from Luciano Becchio in the ninth minute of injury time.
The Football Association have been waiting for the Police to conclude their enquiries before launching their own disciplinary procedures.
Leeds United have had a fourth game chosen for live TV coverage.
The trip to Brighton and Hove Albion will now be played on Friday November 2nd with a 7.45pm kick off and will be shown live by Sky Sports.
Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he does not know what is happening with out of contract Aidy White.
White ended his current deal with the club on June 30th after turning down a new deal with the club.
Warnock says he has had no word from White or his representatives and he is still waiting to be informed what his intentions are. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, 'I have not been told whether he`s found a club or whether he intends to find a club. All I know is he turned our offer down and until he makes a decision I don`t know.
'We come back on the 11th. I haven`t spoken to him but I know he is fit because he played the game for Ireland. I am sure we will be informed on what his intentions are.'
