LUFC McDermott happy with fixtures

Leeds United boss Brian McDermott says he is happy after the fixtures were released for the 2013/14 season this morning.

Leeds start and finish the season at Elland Road, something McDermott is pleased with.

Speaking on the official website, McDermott said, 'I've been around the game for such a long time now, I think more as a player than a manager you look at the fixtures.

'For me I look at the first game and see if we are playing at home, and we are. Then I'll look at the last game to see if we are playing at home and we are which I'm really pleased about."

Leeds start the season against Brighton and Hove Albion and finish the season against Derby County at Elland Road.

McDermott will make his first return to his former club Reading in the opening months of the season as they travel to the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday 17th September.
