Leeds are preparing for a second season in League One and there are reports that the club could have new owners.
The owners of the NHL team Toronto Maple Leafs and NFL team the Toronto Raptors are believed to be looking into a takeover bid.
Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment are looking at Leeds United as a possible target for yet another North American takeover of an English football club.
Ken Bates expressed his disappointment in striker Jermaine Beckford after he turned down the offer of a new contract.
Leeds offered the leading goalscorer for the last two seasons a new three year contract which Beckford turned down.
Leeds United sign goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel after he was released by Notts County at the end of the season.
Schmeichel becomes Leeds first signing since their promotion back to the Championship and he joins the club on a two year deal.
Leeds announces three European pre-season friendlies. They will travel to Slovakia for two games against MFK Ruzomberok on Tuesday July 13th and MFK Kosice on Friday July 16th. They will finish their mini European tour with a game in Norway against SK Lyn Oslo on Tuesday July 27th
Following on from the news that Leeds expected Bradley Johnson to depart in the summer, the club have now announced that they expect Neil Kilkenny to join him in leaving Elland Road.
The midfielder is out of contract this summer and after no response from the player or his agent about the new deal that Leeds have offered him the club are ready to move on.
Leeds United summer target Joel Ward has finally put pen to paper on a deal, signing for fellow championship side Crystal Palace.
Leeds had been long time favourites to sign the versatile defender from Portsmouth after he held negotiations with the club almost three weeks ago.
