LUFC Byram in World Cup squad

Leeds United defender Sam Byram has earned his first England call-up with the under-20 side.

Byram has been included in the provisional 35-man squad for the World Cup in Turkey this summer after an impressive first season at Leeds.

The 19-year-old, who was an almost ever present during the season, making 53 appearances, won the clubs Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Supporters Player of the Year.

Taylor will name his final 21-man squad on June 7th ahead of the tournament that starts a fortnight later.

England face Iraq on June 23rd, Chile on June 26th and Egypt on June 29th in their group games in a tournament that runs from June 21st to 13th July.
