*On this day in 1989, Leeds United player Mark Aizlewood was coming in for criticism from sections of the Elland Road crowd in their end of season game with Walsall.
Aizlewood scored a late winner in the game and he reacted by turning to the kop and sticking two fingers up in their direction.
By the time he had reached the half way line, Leeds boss Howard Wilkinson was ready to substitute him. He never played for Leeds again.
