LUFC Leeds Loan Watch - Twins closing in on title

Vital Leeds looks at how the loan players did in the games over the weekend.

Patrick Kisnorbo - Ipswich Town (Rest of season)
Kisnorbo was ineligible for the game between Ipswich and Leeds on Saturday as part of the loan agreement between the two clubs.

After making his debut in the FA Cup defeat at Aston Villa at the beginning of January, Kisnorbo has been an unused substitute in the last eleven Ipswich games.

Danny Pugh - Sheffield Wednesday (Rest of season)
Pugh started the game and played 57 minutes before being substituted with the game against Barnsley still at 0-0.

Wednesday went on to beat Barnsley 2-1.

Pugh has made 10 appearances since arriving at Hillsborough in January.

Dominic Poleon - Sheffield United (Rest of season)
Poleon came on as a last minute substitute for Sheffield United as they won their crucial promotion clash 1-0 at Tranmere Rovers

The youngster has made 6 appearances since his arrival at Bramall Lane on February 16th.

Zac Thompson - Bury (Rest of season)
Thompson was an unused substitute for Bury as they salvaged a point with a last minute penalty in the 2-2 home draw against Crewe Alexandra.

The midfielder has made 27 appearances for Bury in two spells since originally arriving at Gigg Lane in October.

Paul Connolly - Preston North End (Rest of season)
The defender came off the bench after 63 minutes with Preston trailing 1-0 at home to Portsmouth.

Preston claimed a late point in a 1-1 draw and continued their upturn in results since former Leeds boss Simon Grayson took over at Deepdale.

Connolly has made 9 appearances since signing for Preston in January.

Paul Rachubka - Accrington Stanley (Rest of season)
The keeper helped Accrington to a crucial three points with a 1-0 win at Wycombe Wanderers, with the winning goal coming in the dying seconds of the game.

The win for Accrington moves them four points clear of the relegation places.

Rachubka has now made 18 appearances in his two spells with Stanley this season, keeping four clean sheets.

Charlie Taylor - Inverness Caledonian Thistle (Rest of season)
Taylor was an unused substitute as Inverness kept up their challenge for a European place, with a 2-1 win at Hibernian.

Inverness are three points behind second placed Motherwell in the Scottish Premier League.

Taylor has made 5 appearances since arriving at Inverness in January.

Alex Cairns - Stalybridge Celtic - (Loan ends March)
Cairns completed another 90 minutes as struggling Celtic made it eleven games without a win with a 1-1 draw against Droylsden.

The 20-year-old has played 39 times for Celtic this season, keeping 11clean sheets since joining them in the first week of the season..

Nathan Turner - Chester FC (Rest of season)
Nathan completed another 90 minutes for Chester as they moved a step closer to the Blue Square Conference North title with a 5-1 win at Colwyn Bay.

Chester were cheered on by over 1,000 travelling fans, as they maintained their 16-point lead at the top of the table over Guiseley.

They have now scored 95 goals this season with seven games still remaining.

Nathan has made 16 appearances since joining them in November and he has scored one goal.
