'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blackwell Must Go!

I would like to nice and say Blackwell has been a good manager but we`re second bottom and at best facing another 23 months outside the Premiership I think the time for being polite is through. They guy is a wimp and deserves to go.

I`m not one of these fans who have recently started saying Blackwell has to go it has been my opinion since January last year and it is an opinion. Anybody who disagrees is welcome to join the debate.

His tactics are too negative and for someone who has bought four top quality strikers to the club that`s a little odd but that is Blackwell. Some of his decisions are baffling. Why does he continue to play Healy out of position, why hasn`t he replaced Butler and why for the latter half of last season when we were struggling to score goals did he persist on playing 4-5-1.

To say he is clueless is probably wrong, I think sometimes he over thinks. Football to me can be a simple game. I think Blackwell worries too much about what the opposition can do to us rather than focussing on how we can beat them. Why else would you loft long balls up to Rob Hulse in last years Play-Off Final only for him to knock it down for his non existent team mates who were all playing to deep because Blackwell was scared witless of Watford attacking capabilities. In fact he played that system far too many times last year it wasn`t just in Cardiff. But Cardiff was embarrassing and no disrespect to Watford and Sheffield United who went up last year, I think player for player we were better than them. People say Blackwell was successful in getting us to where he did last year, I don`t success was promotion anything else was a failure.

We need a manager who is going to come in and gets Leeds battling playing the aggressive attacking football that we like. How many more times do we have to see Leeds sit back and invite pressure content on a 1-0 win or this season a draw at home. If it continues we are going carrying on conceding late goals and losing points. Blackwell has to battle or go home.
