LUFC Leeds Fans View v Crystal Palace

I made the trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday to watch Leeds in their crucial championship game with Crystal Palace.

I give you my fans view on the player`s performance in an enthralling 2-2 draw.

Kenny 8
He made some great saves and he could do little with either goal. For once, one of his hit and hopes up field paid off as Morison latched onto his long kick to fire Leeds ahead.

Byram 8
I was a bit worried about Byram who lost confidence for a few games after his mistake against Cardiff. He is now back to his best and for the second time this season he did a good job of keeping the dangerous Wilfried Zaha and Yannick Bolasie relatively quiet

Lees 8 Star Man
He gets better with every game for Leeds and he was colossal at the heart of the Leeds defence. He could have stopped the cross coming in for their opener, otherwise he would have been a 9.

Peltier 7
Another solid display alongside Lees, who are proving to be a great partnership.

Warnock 7
He switched off twice and both led to Glenn Murray getting in behind him to score. He did work hard and he looked like he was struggling in the last ten minutes with cramp, which could have led to him losing Murray for the second goal.

Green 5
A disappointing performance from Green. He missed a good chance to bring Leeds level in the first half and he rarely got going in the second half.

Tonge 7
I think a lot of his hard work in midfield goes unnoticed. Was it just a coincidence that Leeds worst performances of the season were whilst he was out of the side in December and January?

Norris 7
He also worked hard in midfield and he tried his hardest to help out in attack.

McCormack 7
A tireless performance from McCormack who is working so hard for the side.

Morison 7
Take his two goals out of the game and it was a very average performance but on this occasion, he is a striker who is paid to score goals and they were two good finishes.

Varney 7
He also worked hard for the side and often when he had the ball he was left isolated, something that could also be said for Morison. Maybe he was lucky to stay on the field after receiving a yellow card for a dive and a couple of borderline challenges. We deserved the bit of luck, it was an inept performance by the referee all afternoon, so at least he was consistent.

Subs

Austin, Hall & Habibou.
All three were brought on late on as Warnock looked for a late winner. I would have taken Green off on the hour, as he was largely ineffective.

Summary
Having seen nearly all our away games this season this was up there as one of the most enjoyable.

Both sides were desperate for a win and went at it toe-to-toe.

We have looked a transformed side in the past month since Warnock stuck with a settled side. If we had been playing like this in the first half of the season, we would not be playing catch up on the play-off places now.

I would have been happy with two draws from Leicester and Crystal Palace before the games but I am really disappointed we didn`t take six points following the games.

We now need eight wins from our last ten games to stand a chance of the play-off, which looks a tall order. We have to take six points from our two home games in the next week or it is all over for me.

The fans were brilliant again and never stopped singing from start to finish. Palace fans also created a good atmosphere (they always do) but I wish they would get rid of the drum and the cringeworthy goal music. You make a good enough atmosphere without the props.

Enjoyed watching the Crystal Palace cheerleaders at half time as once again an away ground wouldn`t serve beer at half time. You were happy to do it before the game so why stop?

Would've marked Varney down for his behavior - HATE HATE HATE players diving (no matter what shirt they wear) if we keep putting up with our own players doing this we risk turning into tottenham like fans
