'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC Leeds Fans View v Leicester

Des from the Minster Whites made the trip to Leicester City to watch Leeds United and he gives us his player ratings from the game.

Leeds were denied what would have been a massive three points when they conceded deep into injury time.

Kenny 8
He pulled off some quality saves

Byram 8
Got himself into goalscoring positions and he scored a great volley. Lost his man in defence once or twice so not a 9, but a great performance never the less.

Lees 8
As always, a solid performance

Peltier 7
Solid but shaky and he got caught ball watching once or twice.

Warnock 8
A very popular player with the Leeds crowd and defended resolutely and he was always willing to attack.

Norris 6
No confidence when in shooting positions and the most anonymous of our three central midfielders

Green 7
Solid and he was always looking for the ball.

Tonge 7
Hard working and inventive and linked well with Byram and McCormack in a magical spell in the second half .

Varney 9 Star Man
Wins virtually every ball and showed real quality, which I thought he did not have. It is unbelievable how my view on this player has changed from zero to hero.

McCormack 9
A great game and he linked well with Byram. He provided the corner for Byram`s goal. He was always looking for the ball and some great passing. A real playmaker on the wing.

Morison 1
A shocking, effortless performance and he was devoid of any skill. Why he was not substituted is beyond me

Summary
A real entertaining game with chances at both ends. We dominated after our goal and really should have put it to bed but we do lack confidence in front of goal and lack the natural goalscorer (and I do not mean Becchio).

Some of our play was sublime and Ross and Sam were romping up their left side of defence with ease.

Then panic set in and we sat back and waited for them to attack. Leeds played the long ball to Morison to relieve pressure, which half the time he cannot be bothered chasing and the other half he puts in only a little effort.

He should have come off and someone brought on to hold the ball up. Diouf would have been perfect for that but Warnock stuck with a player who was not performing. We then made a defensive substitution at the death that cost us the game.

Fourteen games I have been to this season, all away and I was sick that we did not hold on to three points here. When will I see my second win?

Fair home crowd but the fatty with the drum was annoying. May we never go down that happy clappy drum route.

It`s a ground I like, compact and a good atmosphere.

Leeds fans were quality. It was an older crowd mainly as it was a school night.

Palace next - will I see 3 points there?
