LUFC Leeds Fans View v Blackpool

Tiny T gives us his usual fans view on the player performances in the games at Elland Road.

This time he gives us his views after a much-needed 2-0 win over Blackpool.

Kenny 8
Some good stops especially the two in the first half. His distribution was poor yet again though.

Byram 6
He struggled at times against the pace and tricky of Ince. He got better in the second half when he started getting forward.

Lees 8
Strong performance yet again from the Leeds centre back.

Peltier 8
Like his partner hardly put a foot wrong.

Warnock 8
Stuck to his duties and got forward as well.

Green 6
Nothing he did seemed to come off, but he worked hard closing down

Norris 7
Good finish for his goal and worked hard.

Tonge 6
Similar performance to Green.

McCormack 8
Gave the defence problems with his determination, he should have scored in the first half.

Morison 8
Hard working front man and his performance deserved the goal.

Varney 8 Star man
His best performance for us.

Summary
Leeds started the game well and they kept it going for 90 minutes. How many times can Leeds fans say that this season?

The performance deserved the result, two good saves in the first half by Kenny but we should have been two up before he had one to make. All eleven worked hard and for once we did not play 'hoof ball`.

Blackpool posed problems but the defence dealt fairly well all evening, the odd problem but someone seemed to get something in the way.

Going forward we were inventive and always seemed to have an extra player available.

Varney clearly enjoys his role and it showed in his performance, though there were times when he and McCormack should have stayed wider.

We move on to Blackburn next another performance like this and another three points should come our way
