LUFC Development squad enjoy win over Blades

A Leeds United development squad beat Sheffield United 3-1 at Thorp Arch today.

A side made up of mainly youth team players included defender Jason Pearce, winger Ryan Hall and striker Habib Habibou with first team experience.

Leeds had trailed 1-0 before Chris Dawson enhanced his growing reputation with an equaliser five minutes before the break.

Habibou scored his first goal in Leeds colours when he fired home from the penalty spot and Lewis Walters added a third.

Goalkeeper Eric Grimes saved a late penalty for Leeds as they ran out 3-1 winners.

The game is good preparation for the youth team players who are preparing for their FA Youth Cup Fifth Round tie at Liverpool on February 27th.
