LUFC Warnock - I won't be at Leeds next season

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he will be leaving Elland Road this summer if the club fail to win promotion.

Warnock, who joined Leeds a year ago today, can now concentrate on the league after seeing his side beaten in the FA Cup at Manchester City on Sunday.

Speaking at his post-match press conference, Warnock said, "If we don`t go up, I won`t be there. I think the fans have known it all along and we are eight points off the play-offs now, so it isn`t rocket science.

"I think the club will be sensible about it and I don`t want to leave them in the lurch because I think it is a great club and I think in the next couple of years, they will be back in the big time."

Warnock only signed for Leeds until the end of this season, as he aimed to win a record-breaking eighth promotion from the Football League but that now looks a distant hope with the side eight points behind the final play-off place after picking up just one point in their last three games.

Leeds are back in championship action on Wednesday night at Elland Road against Blackpool.
