LUFC Man City v Leeds - Over The Years

Vital Leeds looks at the head-to-head record against Manchester City over the years.

The two sides have met on 51 previous occasions at both Maine Road and the Etihad Stadium. City have the better record winning 29, Leeds have won 13 and 9 have been drawn.

The first ever clash came in the 1924/25 season when City won a First Division encounter 4-2.

Leeds had to wait until their ninth visit to Maine Road before recording their first win, 1-0 in the 1933/34 season.

Man City have twice hit Leeds for six. They won 6-2 in the 1937/38 season and 6-1 in the 1985/86 season.

Leeds biggest win came at Maine Road in 2000 when they won an FA Cup clash 5-2.

The two sides have only met once previously at the Etihad Stadium when they shared the points in a 1-1 draw in the 2003/04 season.

Sunday will be the sixth time the two sides have met in the FA Cup. Leeds have the slight advantage having won three and Man City two. They have met twice in Manchester with both sides winning one each.
