LUFC Poleon to join Sheffield United on loan

Leeds United youngster Dominic Poleon looks all set to sign for Sheffield United on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 19-year-old attacking player hasn`t featured for Leeds since the game with Crystal Palace in November and Leeds boss Neil Warnock said recently, after the player had signed a new two-and-a-half-year deal with the club, that he would be looking to loan him out in the second half of the season.

Blades boss Danny Wilson says the youngster is all set to sign for the Bramall Lane club, with the deal going through later this week so that Poleon would be eligible for the League One play-offs if required, with them currently in fifth place in the division.

Wilson speaking in the Sheffield Star after their game at Bury on Tuesday night "Dominic is coming in. Dominic`s paperwork will be completed at the weekend."

The product of the Leeds United academy has made his breakthrough into the Leeds first team this season and he has made seven appearances including one start against Nottingham Forest, a game where he scored his first senior goal.

Poleon joined Bury on loan in October and he quickly earned a good reputation with two goals in eight appearances as well as creating a number of goals.
