'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC View from the opposition manager

Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay was delighted with his sides win at Leeds United.

Cardiff won thanks to a goal from debutant Frazier Campbell, the striker scoring with his first touch after coming off the bench just past the hour.

Leeds created the better chances with Ross Barkley and Tom Lees missing great chances and Mackay says his side dug in to get the result.

Speaking on the Football League show, Mackay said, "We knew it was never going to be easy, Leeds had won their last six at home.

"It was always going to be tough because I have never had an easy game against Leeds at Elland Road or against Neil Warnock.

"We had to make sure we came here with a game plan, we dug in and we got the result in the end and I am delighted."

The win for Cardiff sees them ten points clear at the top of the championship and they finally look set to banish the bridesmaid tag in the division having lost in the play-offs in each of the last three seasons.

That's what good teams do, punish the opposition for their mistakes. At the end of the day you can say we just lack quality, and some players just aren't good enough, Austin and White in particular.
Reiver
Another example of the best team losing purely because they couldn't put their chances away. Cardiff really didn't look like a side who are ten points clear at the top of the Championship. Leeds really missed a clinical finisher in front of goal. Surely a fully fit and in form Steve Morison will remedy that problem.
Rotherham White
Totally agree above with Rotherham White in regards to Cardiff not looking like a top of the table side. Hopefully Morison will hit the floor running, You never know if he does well over the next 12 months then we will probably get Norwich knocking on the door and asking to swap back strikers....haha.
