LUFC Warnock looking to loan out winger

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he expects to send Dominic Poleon out on loan once he has brought a winger into the club.

The Leeds youngster has made his breakthrough into the Leeds first team this season making seven appearances and he scored in his only start against Nottingham Forest in September.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell with League One Bury before Christmas and Warnock says he will be going out on loan once he has cover at Elland Road.

Speaking on LUTV, Warnock said, "We are still on the lookout for a wide player; you can actually sign somebody before next Saturday.

"We have to be careful at the moment until we get somebody in. If we had got Chris Burke in I would have let him go out on loan.

"There are quite a few clubs that want Dominic. I will let him go once we get someone in, but at the moment, I can`t afford to let him go out."


Poleon made eight appearances with Bury, scoring two goals during his loan stint at Gigg Lane. The academy product extended his loan with the League One strugglers in November until the New Year but he was recalled by Warnock after injuries in the squad left him short of numbers.

He came off the bench against Crystal Palace in Leeds next game but he was hauled off just fifteen minutes later and he hasn`t featured since.

Warnock obviously sees something he likes in Poleon and he rewarded him with a new two*and-a-half-year deal recently.
