Vital Leeds United continue to keep you up to date with all the rumours doing the rounds of the coming and goings during the January transfer window.
With are now just days away until what looks like another frustrating transfer window closes. Leeds are still waiting for the so called 'icing on the cake` signing that we have been promised by boss Neil Warnock since the window opened.
Warnock still believes two or three will be coming in and he can`t tell us enough, just how hard Shaun Harvey is working.
It seems like the media have almost given up on us as well, as less and less names are being linked with us as the weeks go by.
In the past seven days, Leeds have been linked with former favourite Max Gradel. Local paper, Yorkshire Evening Post were the first to break the news saying that the club had been in touch with the player who is now playing in the French top flight with St Etienne. The fact that he is away at the African cup of nations with Ivory Coast until after the window closes makes this look highly unlikely.
Aston Villa defender Stephen Warnock has also been linked with a loan move to Elland Road. Warnock spent the first half of the season on loan at Bolton Wanderers and he doesn`t look part of Villa manager Paul Lambert`s plans.
Glasgow Celtic winger Paddy McCourt is being linked with a move to Leeds. The Northern Ireland international has fallen down the pecking order at Parkhead in recent months after being targeted by a number of English clubs in the summer, including Liverpool.
Luciano Becchio put in a transfer request on Thursday and the club have admitted they have received bids for him from abroad. Unnamed teams from China, Spain and Argentina are all reported to be interested. Premier League side Sunderland are the latest club in England to be linked with a move for him.
There was a number of doors closed this week of players who have already been linked with us. Dexter Blackstock (Nottingham Forest) and Shaun Derry (Queens Park Rangers) signed new deals with their clubs.
Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill was made club captain and West Brom defender Craig Dawson joined Bolton Wanderers on loan.
All the rumours that I put up have been in the national press, local press or websites such as Skysports.com, Clubcall.com, and Teamtalk.com amongst others and not from sites where people just put up their wish list and make out that they have inside knowledge through their best mate`s uncle`s brother.
